Smart TV Remote — Support
Smart TV Remote controls Samsung, LG and Roku TVs from your iPhone over Wi-Fi, and sends photos and videos to Chromecast and Google TV. It is an independent app, not made by or affiliated with these brands.

Email us at support@tvremote.brandranks.ai, or tap Settings › Contact Support in the app. Tell us your TV's brand and model, and what you tried.
My TV doesn't show up
- Put your iPhone and your TV on the same Wi-Fi network. A guest network or a phone's hotspot often keeps devices apart.
- Make sure Smart TV Remote may use your local network: iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
- Turn the TV on: most TVs leave the network when they're off.
- Still nothing? Tap "Add TV by IP address" and type the address shown in your TV's network settings, usually under Settings › Network › Network Status, or Settings › About.
My TV shows up but won't connect
- Samsung and LG ask on the TV screen whether to allow Smart TV Remote the first time. Accept it with the TV's own remote, then try again.
- If you refused it on a Samsung TV: open Settings › General › External Device Manager › Device Connection Manager › Device List on the TV, remove Smart TV Remote, and connect again.
- Roku: turn on Settings › System › Advanced system settings › Control by mobile apps.
- Restart the TV and your router, then try again.
Can it turn my TV on?
It can turn the TV off. Turning it back on usually isn't possible: when a TV is off, it leaves the Wi-Fi network, so no app on your phone can reach it.
I can't send photos or videos
- Sending photos and videos works with Chromecast and Google TV.
- Keep Smart TV Remote open while the TV plays: your iPhone sends the file over your Wi-Fi.
- Your photos and videos never leave your home network.
